Big South Fork Adventures offers two, half day, 9:00am trips, Blue Heron (Put In) - Yamacraw (Takeout, 2.5hrs & 5miles) or Yamacraw (Put In) - Alum Ford (Takeout, 3.5hrs- 7.5miles) canoe/kayak rental floats The Blue Heron float will have moving water and the Yamacraw float water flow is minimal. Both river sections are local (no longer a secret) float favorites, for fisherman, swimmers and floaters. This trip if dotted with house sized boulders, canopy of trees, Class I and II, Joel Shoals, rapids and runs alongside the abandoned Kentucky and Tennessee Railway rail line. The Blue Heron to Alum float contains remanences of the bustling coal mining days with historic K&T bridge at Yamacraw and the bridge pillars at the abandoned coal mine town of Worley.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to scheduled trip date, 90% refund with a 10% processing fee. Cancellation between 30 and 14 days but prior to 24hrs, 50% refund. Cancellations after 24hrs, prior to the scheduled trip, or impaired customers and "No Shows" lose 100%. Big South Fork Adventures reserves the right to cancel any trips due to any unsafe conditions. The Big South Fork River is a very dynamic river, and no two trips are the same. In addition, the BSF river levels can fluctuate very rapidly making the river very dangerous and at the discretion of the guides for the customer's safety BSFA can cancel the trip due to unsafe river conditions and will offer the customer an alternative trip and/or 1 year credit. Customers will be offered 1 year credit and/or a rescheduled date if Big South Fork Adventures LLC calls the trip due to inclement weather.
