Get ready for an unforgettable adventure on the water with a self-guided tube ride on the breathtaking Big South Fork Cumberland River, starting at the historic Blue Heron, Mine 18! This family-friendly adventure is the ultimate way to cap off exciting day of exploring the area’s rich history. Drift under the impressive tram that once transported coal for the Stearns Coal and Lumber Company, and feel the rush as you float through fun class I rapids! And don’t miss the thrill of conquering exhilarating class II rapid, Joe Shoals. End your trip by dropping off your Tube at the take-out point and you are finished. Mandatory Tube turn in at 6:00pm, Last rental is at 3:00pm
What to Bring: Whitewater rafting is a very dynamic participation sport, anything you bring could be lost and irretrievable. Big South Fork Adventures LLC, and Big South Fork NRRA is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Do not bring your car keys on this trip.....Bring bottle water and any prescribed medication. *The Big South Fork is a very wild, dynamic river, and the river level raises and lowers quickly, no two trips are the same, due to inclement weather and severe level fluctuations, unguided trips could be cancelled at the guides recommendation and for the customer's safety.
